Well established suburban Central New Jersey synagogue seeks a Full-time Synagogue Administrator with strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of modern Orthodox practices and customs. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to act independently and efficiently and be experienced in working with lay leaders, constituents and volunteers.
The Synagogue Administrator will supervise the custodial staff and arrange for building maintenance in addition to coordinating rentals (i.e. outside organizations, parties, special events). The qualified candidate will possess a minimum of five years prior experience in a similar role, where you will be interacting with congregants, negotiating with vendors & independent contractors and overseeing our local cemetery. Prior Experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel as well as QuickBooks and Chaverware are required. Marketing and Fundraising experience are a plus.
