Sir Alfred Hitchcock has been acknowledged as "The Master of Suspense." To understand how he reached this pinnacle of acclamation, we will explore his background that ultimately led to six decades of directing over fifty feature films, many of which are now regarded as classics. He also masterminded ten years as host (and occasional director) of 360 episodes of the television anthology series Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1955-62) and The Alfred Hitchcock Hour (1962-65). His stories were riveting and full of ironic twists that surprised, amused, and confounded viewers. We will watch one of his classic 30 minute episodes followed by an interactive discussion of the show and his techniques.
