After receiving a Bachelors degree in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, she worked for various commercial and residential design firms. Deborah discovered the joy of entertaining audiences with tales of urban evolution after a stint in the Moth Storytelling Workshop, coupled with leading Jane's Walk tours for the Municipal Art Society of New York.
