Lessons from a Black Officer in World War II

An International Holocaust Remembrance Day Inter-Community Program

Agent Reginald Johnson of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Bias/Community Outreach Unit, and president of the Metuchen-Edison NAACP, will speak about his father, Maj. George Yancy Johnson*. Maj Johnson was one of only a few Black commissioned officers at the beginning of World War II and participated in the liberation of Dachau concentration camp.

Join us to hear how learning about his father’s experiences led Agent Johnson to dedicate his life to building bridges between Jews, Blacks, and other communities as a means to fight racism, bias, and hate.
