Thursday, January 23 at 11:30 am at Congregation B’nai Israel in Rumson:

Lunch & Movie featuring the 2017 film “Marshall”

Join us on Thursday, January 23 at 11:30 am for lunch and a viewing of the 2017 film, “Marshall” (Rated PG-13).

Marshall is based on the incredible true story of future Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall and one of the landmark cases of his life. It follows the young lawyer (Chadwick Boseman) to conservative Connecticut to defend an African-American chauffeur (Sterling K. Brown) charged with sexual assault and attempted murder of his white socialite employer (Kate Hudson). Muzzled by a segregationist court, Marshall partners with a courageous young Jewish lawyer (Josh Gad) and together they mount the defense in an environment of racism and anti-Semitism.

This program, sponsored by CBI’s Library Committee, is open to all. We ask that you please RSVP in advance so we can plan for food and seating. Pricing is $14 per person in advance, $16 per person on the day of the event or at the door. Lunch is provided by CBI’s chef, Margo Tikijian.
