Professor Katz’s topic will be:
Drawing the Iron Curtain: Jews and the Golden Age of Soviet Animation

This presentation, including video clips and still images, chronicles the role of Jewish artists in the Soviet animation industry, which was one of the most integrated artistic industries in the Soviet Union. Through their work, these artists portrayed their experiences as Soviet Jews.
