OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II:
His Life and Legacy
PRESENTER: Will Hammerstein, grandson of legendary Broadway lyricist Oscar Hammerstein II, tells his grandfather's story - “Broadway to Buck’s County”

The story encompasses his birth into a theater family in 1895, the ups and downs and major influences of his career and ends with his death in 1960 at his beloved home Highland Farm in Pennsylvania; this is where the Rodgers and Hammerstein partnership was formed, where he did most of his lyric writing and where he mentored high school student, Stephen Sondheim. Listen to a fascinating life!
