The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County presents
“The Woman in Gold” by Gustav Klimt, a talk led by Professor Maurice Mahler on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022 @ 2 PM. This program is available in-person and on Zoom. Tickets are $10 for members, $12 for non-members.

The Museum welcomes back Professor Maurice Mahler, to present a discussion on the famous painting known as “The Woman in Gold” by artist Gustav Klimt. Once stolen from a Jewish family in the run-up to World War II, the magnificent artwork had many owners until it’s permanent home. Learn how the painting was bought by Ronald Lauder, the son of Estee Lauder, for $130 million and is currently on display at the Neue Galerie Museum in Manhattan.

The Jewish Heritage Museum is located in the Mounts Corner Shopping Center, at 310 Mounts Corner Drive, Freehold, NJ, at the corner of Route 537 and Wemrock Road (between the
CentraState Medical Center and Freehold Raceway Mall). It is on the second floor of the historic Levi Solomon Barn. The JHMOMC is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Now open to visitors by appointment, the Museum is handicapped and assistive-listening accessible. Masks and vaccinations are required.

The Museum’s Board of Trustees denounces racism and all forms of violence against any group, ethnicity, or race, and stands in support of any targeted community.
