Richard Hill will begin as  'Citizen' Grant appearing just after leaving the Office of President in 1877.  He will present a first-person
summary of Grant's wartime accomplishments and comment on his association with President Abraham Lincoln.  He will share Grant's views on his achievements during his two terms in office and on what the future of the nation might look like through the closing decades of the 19th Century.  He will show Grant's connections with Jewish Americans in the period 1861 to 1876 and how he developed his relationship with the American Jewish Community during and after the Rebellion.
Richard Hill is a presenter of historical figures from the American Civil War Era. With more than fifty years’ experience researching period characters and events, Mr. Hill is privileged to present Ulysses S. Grant during his wartime tenure as a general officer of the United States Army or as the 18th President of the United States. Mr. Hill specializes in bringing to life in the First Person, the military accomplishments of General Grant whose reputation began its sad decline early in the 20th Century due to the specter of sectional reconciliation and the virulent re-emergence of racial superiority, stigmatizing his wartime achievements as well as his Presidential legacy. A retired university administrator, Mr. Hill is dedicated to presenting a balanced and respectful image of U. S. Grant; authentically attired in the uniform and regalia of the era as General or as the 18th President, with the intention of providing a fresh look at this National hero and, arguably, the first truly American global superstar.
