Dr. Agnes Grunwald-Spier joins Chhange for the New Jersey State Commemoration of Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. Dr. Grunwald-Spier survived the Holocaust as a young child, living with her mother in the Budapest Ghetto. Dr. Grunwald-Spier's new book, "Women's Experiences in the Holocaust: In their Own Words," explores the unique challenged women faced during the Holocaust, including pregnancy, abortion, caring for family after men were arrested, sexual abuse, and medical experimentation.

This moving commemorative program also includes a candle-lighting ceremony featuring local Holocaust survivors escorted by sailors from Naval Weapons Stattion Earle, as well as a musical performance by the Marlboro High School Choir. All are welcome to this powerful remembrance event.

Copies of "Women's Experiences in the Holocaust: In Their Own Words" will be available for purchase & signing after the event.
