We are pleased to share that New Jersey’s Fiscal Year 2027 State Budget includes significant investments that will strengthen security for vulnerable communities and provide critical support for older adults across our state.

Thanks to legislative leaders, and the advocacy of Jewish Federations across New Jersey and our community partners, the approved budget includes:

• $2 million for the Community Security Initiative (CSI) to support security planning, intelligence sharing, training, and emergency preparedness for Jewish Federations across New Jersey, as well as partner agencies and synagogues
• $7 million for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program, helping nonprofit organizations statewide enhance physical security and better protect the people they serve
• $300,000 for Kosher Meals on Wheels, ensuring older adults can continue to receive nutritious meals and remain healthy, independent, and connected

These investments reflect two critical priorities: protecting our community and caring for our most vulnerable neighbors.
