The best and the worst

Dear Friends and Family,

Challenging times can bring out the worst -- and the best -- in people.

Recent anti-Semitic slurs made by sports and entertainment figures are particularly troubling, as these are the people we often turn to for escape. Not knowing whether their apologies are genuine only compounds the pain.

Learn what Federation is doing to combat anti-Semitism and join us to be part of the solution.

During this trying time, many are experiencing difficulty with substance abuse and behavioral addictions. The Jewish community offers help and there is no shame in seeking it.

Seeking refuge from our troubles is not for adults only. Learn how Federation and PJ Library, with the Two River Theater, are getting ready to take our children on a journey of imagination -- through fantasy fiction and costume design. Be among the first to sign up your children.

And this week, in a bright slice of hope and humanity, find out how Federation's professional team is banding together to get the job done for our Jewish community -- and how you can join us too!

Let us know how YOU'RE doing this week? Are you going to a drive-in Kabbalat Shabbat tonight or staying close to home? Care to share your latest COVID coping tricks? What can we do to help?

Please know we are thinking of you and those you love.

Shabbat Shalom,
Susan Antman, Executive Director
