Our Mission

Jewish Family Services of Middlesex County is a non-profit human services agency whose mission, rooted in Jewish values, is to help all individuals and families in need realize an improved life experience at home, in the workplace, and in the community. We pursue these aims by providing effective social services, counseling, and advocacy through responsive, caring programs.

JFVS provides comprehensive social services to residents of Middlesex County. Individual, couples, family, teens and children's counseling are offered at A Center for Individual and Family Growth. NOVA (New Opportunities for Vocational Advancement) offers career testing and counseling, Job placement, ESL classes, resume writing and job skill readiness. Connections provides individualized training and human resource development programs to businesses and corporations. The Geriatric Services Department provides needs assessments, case management, kosher Meals-On-Wheels, caregivers services, services for Holocaust survivors, CHAT (Counseling Homebound Adults by Tele-phone) and Elderday, social adult day care for the frail elderly and a special program for those with Alzheimer's disease and other related disorders. Cameo (Challenging Adult Minds and Energizing Ourselves) is a social program for senior adults living with medical conditions that impact their daily lives. Immigration and Refugee Services include citizenship classes and English language training. The Refugee Center without Walls offers social, cultural and educational programs for refugees. JFVS also provides Jewish Family Life Education programs, extensive volunteer opportunities for youth and adults, college advisory services, a kosher food pantry and holiday packages for the needy. This year JFVS began a new pro-gram, B'atzmi, which provides social, cultural and educational activities for Jewish young adults with developmental disabilities.
