Our Impact

Keeping 250 Holocaust survivors out of nursing homes and rescuing hundreds of troubled teens from life on the street, thwarting antisemitic attacks and bringing nearly $15 million in security enhancements to local synagogues, making Jewish life fun for 3,500 children and their families, and helping a dozen Jewish organizations cultivate $14 million in legacy gifts for a strong Jewish future… These are just a few examples of our impact in the Jewish community. Overseas

Federation funds programs and services deployed by partners, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (The JDC) and the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), to help the most vulnerable members of our extended Jewish family in places, such as Eastern Europe, South America, and Israel. In addition, we make targeted overseas grants, focusing on Israel-based organizations, to make a more concentrated impact.
