Do not miss this incredible performance! Against the backdrop of Apartheid-era South Africa, "Journey from Johannesburg" provides audiences with an up-close, personal introspective view of racism and segregation seen through the eyes of a privileged white South African-born Jew. Toby Tobias shares his journey from South Africa to Israel and ultimately to the United States by weaving his original songs into a theatrical monologue and slide show that has been described as: "...a perfect, thought-provoking, cultural and musical experience..." The show's message is one of racial equality, understanding and acceptance of each other's cultures and religions with a strong desire for togetherness. This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY as space allows. Advance registration recommended. For more information and to register please contact the JCC Front Desk at 732-494-3232.
