Jewish Federation and The Hebrew Academy to Enhance Family Programming

Jewish Federation in the Heart of NJ is thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with The Hebrew Academy (THA), supported by a generous grant from Prizmah: Center for Jewish Day Schools. This collaboration is set to bring vibrant Jewish family, parent, and grandparent programming to our community, furthering our commitment to nurturing strong family connections and enriching Jewish life of today and tomorrow.

PJ Library, the Harold Grinspoon Foundation program which is run and funded in our community by Jewish Federation in the Heart of NJ serving Monmouth and Greater Middlesex counties, is a cherished initiative that delivers Jewish-themed books and music to families with young children as well as local Jewish themed programming.

The Hebrew Academy offers a warm and welcoming environment to Jewish students across Middlesex and Monmouth counties and inspires children to a lifelong love of learning.

Thanks to the grant, The Hebrew Academy and Federation are organizing a series of innovative programs that integrate Jewish education and family engagement. These programs will include:

  • Family Events: Various events such as holiday celebrations, Jewish themes songs, snacks, crafts and more will be organized to bring the community together, celebrate Jewish traditions, and create lasting family memories.
  • Parenting Programs: A two part series to educate parents on child safety and mental and physical health.
  • Grandparent Programs: Tailored events focusing on the significant role of grandparents in Jewish life. These programs will offer grandparents opportunities to connect with their grandchildren through meaningful activities, share personal experiences, and explore new ways to support their family’s Jewish journey.

Federation and THA are excited to kick off this new series of programs with our first event scheduled for Sunday, September 22. This debut gathering will set the tone for future activities, offering a taste of the engaging and enriching experiences to come. It’s an excellent opportunity for families to get involved, connect with others in the community, and begin their journey with these new offerings.

This collaboration between Federation and THA represents a significant step in our shared mission to support Jewish families and strengthen our community, both today and for generatins to come. We look forward to seeing the positive impact these programs will have on families and to sharing many more memorable experiences together.
